February Inspections

There have been a few questions on attendance for drill in February.

All active adults, officers and auxiliarists need to attend drill on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Please arrive by 7:45.  Drill will begin at 8:00 am sharp.  The annual inspection will begin immediately.  Auxiliarists should report in the alternate uniform of navy blue polo shirt and khaki pants.   If you have already received the flash (patch) for your polo, please make sure it is sewn on for inspection.  If you have not received the flash, please see me before you leave so you can get one and it can be sewn on before our next meeting.  If you prefer, you can  purchase a navy blue polo with the embroidered Sea Cadet seal on www.vanguardmil.com.

Officers should report in NWU’s, Khakis, or alternate uniform.

The inspection for the adults should be done within an hour.  Then you will be free to leave.

Thanks,
Ensign Miriello

Frozen Frogman Swim – January 28th

Good Afternoon William E. Taylor Division,

“If Not Me, Then Who?” – Travis Manion. This was the motto of 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, who was killed by an enemy sniper on April 29, 2007, while saving his wounded teammates.

Today, the Travis Manion Foundation carries on the legacy of this brave man by serving those who serve our nation. This event provides fundraising for his cause and helps service members and veterans.

The Frozen Frogman Swim (SEAN CARSON 1-MILE) is an event that is held at the Hockessin Athletic Center, Sunday January 28th. Time slots between 3-4PM. When you register, you will have an opportunity to choose the team. I would ask that you consider joining the team that I have put together (William E. Taylor Division USNSCC).

There is a link on our division website https://seacadetsde.org under the “members” tab.

I hope to see you there.

Respectfully,
SA Rachel Miriello
